Hi there.....
There is SADAG in Cape Town.
South African Depression and Anxiety Group.
They have meetings every 2nd Thursday in the Gardens ares and that should be a wonderful support group for you.
I used to attend Narcotics Anonymous and found the meetings invaluable.
I think that the SADAG Meetings run on a similar line to the NA and AA Meetings.
You will meet people with similar problems and issues and make really good friends who you can connect with outside of the meetings.
I would really recommend that you give SADAG a call. They have a Helpline in Cape Town and will be able to put you in contact with the Chairperson of their meetings.
Give it a try and do let me know if this helps otherwise I will put my thinking cap on and see what else I could come up with 👍

I feel the same way. If only I had someone close to me that can truly relate to my depression and my pain caused by my other illnesses

@A MyDepressionTeam Member thank you so much I will definitely give them a call! You are my hero right now. I didn't sae them when I Googled deppression groups which is weird but yeah I will let you know if it's good. I like the second Thursday plan which will fit in nicely with my intensely busy lifestyle. Huge hug!
