I take Gabapentin for the peripheral neuropathy (includes pins and needles feeling in both feet and toes). I have extensive chronic pain as well as depression. I am taking Celexa for the depression and it works better than what I have taken in the past.

Bequi: When I stopped taking Ativan I had seizures. The first seizure I had while attending a graduation program at my grand daughter's pre-school. The second one was in Walmart while shopping with my daughter. The third was at home while I was laying on the floor watching TV. Each of these times I was transported via ambulance to the emergency room and was kept over night (they did CT scans and brain wave testing.) It was all summed up into withdrawal from Ativan and doctor's recommendation not to drive an automobile for a year. I would have said that this drug helped me with anxiety but not intended for long term use. I would only recommend going off of this drug while under a doctor's care. (The 3rd seizure I had after being off the drug for weeks!) Best of luck to you!
