Bipolar treatment: Is there anyone who take Brentelix, Cipramil, Lamictin? what diffence does it make in your body? I take meds but I don't think they help me.

Just like different medications affects and symptoms need to be taken into consideration. It does take time to find the best fit for you with a Psychiatrist. I answered with the intent to help and get you to think about the fact that your medications are clashing and maybe look at other alternatives . I went to a therapist for other 10 years and never got the results I needed mainly I was young and never dealt with the root cause of my symptoms and have achieved much more with personal growth and workshops than I ever did with therapy or medication.

Hi there. I do know that cipralex is a disaster for bipolar, as Michael mentioned it is for depression. It has no benefit whatsoever for bipolar disorder and can actually add to the problem. I agree with Michael. go and see a professional psychiatrist not a GP.

I take Lamotragine for bi polar and find it works. I also take nortryptaline for pain but I'm sure this also helps my depression. My psychiatrist gave me a list of meds and their side effects so that I could have a choice to decide what I thought would suit me best. I chose Lamotrigine and my psychiatrist agreed for me to try it. So far so good. I also make the decision as to what dosage I need. If I'm going through a low period, I up the dosage, when I'm good and the dosage feels too high, I lower it. My psychiatrist continues to monitor me but so far it's working. I have a few side effects i.e. dry mouth, thirsty etc but other meds I take for other ailments have the same side effects too so it could be either meds or a little bit of both.
