Bizarre Dreams On Prozac?

A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭
Sacramento, CA

I started taking Prozac a little over three weeks ago. I'm starting to feel better over all, but have noticed that I have very bizarre dreams lately, whereas before I almost never dreamed. I've also been having nightmares, which I haven't had since I was ten. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced strange dreams on Prozac, and if so, how did you deal with them?

So... I took Effexor for years and no issues. Then I had to change because after awhile they quit working so um I ended up back on Effexor and started having nightmares and I knew right away that I could no longer take Effexor. If Prozac is causing you nightmares then in my opinion you can't take it and need to switch. See what your Doc says but you need to call the Dr . Been there and done that a few times. I've

I've been on Effexor XR since 1999, they work well for me and when I'm in crisis my psychiatrist ups the dose, which was recently increased to Effexor 300mg, but still feel awful.
