This Might Be A Dumb Question But Is Panic Attacks The Same As Anxiety Attacks?

A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

What are the symptoms of anxiety attacks? At times I'm in a place and I start shaking and want to get out of there as soon as possible. I prefer staying at home with myself than going out. At times I'm so scared that I have trouble swallowing and my heart beats fast. What is this?

Panic attacks come on sudden, what you describe sounds lie both. The differences though anxiety can just happen and usually panic is out of being scared to do something in away. Look them both up and it will describe the differences better to you.

Giving what I have read they are different. Panic attacks a sudden of acute and disabling anxiety. Anxiety attacks is a condition defined as excessive, persisting worry over an imminent events such as death or illness, or even minor events. You might want to look them up more.

Yes, panic attacks and anxiety attacks are the same thing. They both can cause physical symptoms to different degrees of severity.
