Does Anyone Find Their Chronic Pain Adds To Their Depression?

A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭
Youngstown, OH

I have back pain, arthritis and severe neuropathy in my feet and lower legs either due to my back or diabetes..no on knows for sure. It gets so bad that I want to just chop my legs off below the knee. I can't sit still and if I miss a dose of my meds it takes an an or more to kick in and I really suffer. I have crying episodes and suicidal thoughts.

Have to jump in here. Has anyone suffering with pain tried THC/CBD treatment? It truly does help, and no side effects, all natural.

You are not the only one in that situation. I have a very rare disease. When I was diagnosed I was one of 500,000. I suffer from the dx of chronic pain. Just like last night, my medicine didn't work real good and I let my pain get ahold of me. I was so tired but the pain and muscle spasms wouldn't stop. I walked the floors for hours. It seemed like an eternity. I have been mistreated by staff at the hospital, frequent flyer, drug addict. You name it, I've experienced it. The only relief is walking the floors until my medicine helps me. This new thing of people and opioids has hurt people like us, so bad. I can sympathize with people who go out into the streets for relief. It seems to me that getting the medicine you need is easier than trying to get help otherwise. This is something that needs to be addressed for people like us.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member for me, neuropathy causes pain, burning and tingling (like they are asleep). It also causes random stabbing pains. I went looking for more info and I found this great article with lots of info.
