What Are Ways People Cope With Their Depression?
Coping skills are activities like drawing,writing,music. I would like other ideas that people use to deal with their depression
I've been doing it for about 4 or 5 months now. I started out doing it every day, actually reaching what I would consider a euphoric state. My mental state elevated to the place where I cut back to every other day. When the weather got so cold I stopped. I need to get back to it, as it was a real game changer for me.
Walking,, meditation (free on You Tube), Yoga, McD's, listening to music that soothes the soul, listening to a river flow by
I go very often to "my office', that is, the closest Barnes & Noble and hang out as it is a soothing, intellectual and "psychospiritual" sanctuary for me and is especially great because it has a place to order snacks, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. . .
I use to love hiking at the state park, going to screening rooms or swimming and dance clubs
I also like to go alone in my room and listen to self help / psych / meditation / prayer. Ok the meditation is cool but the truth is depressing
