What Does It Mean To You To Be Mentally Ill?

It means that I will never again fully engage with the world and the people in it anywhere near as successfully as non-mentally ill people do. I will continue to merely exist in the world, but still feel like an outsider. I also think it means that I will never be romantically involved with a woman ever again because I don't want to drag her down. Also, I have subconsciously built up high, impenetrable walls around me that no woman would think to try to get close.

Nature, the wilderness, the mountains will always be my happy place and I will always try to make it my second home as a way of getting away from "the world".

Hi, I was born with it . Plus life has been rough especially abuse from childhood, marriage, and still from my sisters that still living. I have been in counseling for a long time off and on. I have done all the suggestions and homework they given me. I practice journaling, doing a mood swing chart daily, art therapy daily. It helps with my mood and attitude.
