Could Head Trauma At The Age Of 3 Or 4 Yrs Old Cause Lifelong Depression?

A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭
Golden, MS

I was in a car accident when I was around 4 or 5 yrs old that resulted in a severely broken nose which was also sliced open. I had stitches in my nose, just underneath my eyebrow and above my top lip. I'm curious to know if this is a contributing factor to my lifelong depression. There are other contributing factors as well, but I've never told my therapists about this.

Probably? You may want to Google traumatic brain injury and depression to see if there's a connection.
