Yes, I had the “full” set of treatments and I’m sorry to say there was not ONE bit of any improvement. I want to note that I MAY have been an exception to the rule, I truly believe (in fact my husband noticed it first) that I even regressed deeper in my MDD. I was devastated. But I’ve read about success stories, and I pray you’re 1 of them!! All the best! 🙏

TMS did nothing for me, but I ended up with a great psychiatrist. Lost count of the medications I've tried. I'm a poster child for treatment resistant depression. Tried ketamine infusions, no help. Resisted ECT for many years, finally gave in and ended up doing thirty-nine rounds over about eighteen months, got me through the very darkest times of wanting to kill myself but didn't really help the depression per say. But it did save my life. Started ketamine infusions again in July 2023 (outpatient in a hospital fully monitored, not at a random clinic or at home). After ten infusions I actually started seeing shades of gray after seeing nothing but black for about eight years. It's no panacea but it's the first improvement in a very long time. If I go more than about two weeks between infusions the darkness and suicidal ideation starts to return. Having a good therapist is a must as well.
