Dear tea4two, my heart truly goes out to you. I h ave much of the same story, traumatized in deadly car accident causing anxiety, but always depression. Continuing to educate yourself brings you strength over what you can not control. Very Good. For Some people, not all, talk therapy can just stir up the sedentary PTSD issues. I do not go to counseling, Find what works for you, you'll know when it fits, Keep your head up and know things can get better. Finding the right meds, scheduling and dosage has taken me years. Some medications are only effective for a little while, and I am so glad you are a proactive member of all of your treatment plan.
