Trying to get on 'THE' medicine for you when it comes to depression medication is as irritating as depression in of itself is.
I’m fortunate to have a really kind and helpful clinician. I’m even more fortunate that my insurance covers my monthly 45 minute sessions with her. I am aware that it’s not so smooth for everybody, and that isn’t right.
It *IS* frustratingly slow. It took a whole bunch of "nudge-nudge, wink wink" to my primary care physician and psychiatrist to work together—and they have, for which I'm grateful. I am using 20mg of Paxil (Paroxtene)—up from 10mg—every morning, which is helping immensely with anxiety and depression.
It is so frustrating ! I feel the medical community has really let so many people down. Hard to even get an appointment , and so much is via telehealth.
I am annoyed at group therapy for mental health and wellbeing is now being run online ( zoom calls ) when a predominant factor in depression/anxiety is isolation and the lack of human contact. How ironic the services no longer seem to want to hold the groups face to face. Considering before covid they were encouraging people to come to face to face groups.
