I'm deathly allergic to bee stings & have to use an epi pen & go to the hospital immediately if I get stung.

Melissa we use it usually five days a week on the grandchildren and also myself, and do every year ,before we get in our pool and have never had any problem with bes. I do have flowers and flowering bushes around the pool but no problem with bees in the pool area just some butterflies every now and then that the granddaughter loves lol.

I reallly think it might depend if you got one that had a sweet scent ours is just the regular ones, and also the area you are swimming. You might want to see if they raise bees close by or look and see if there is an abundance of flowers. That is the only suggestions that I can offer, sorry I can’t be more help.

Hugs,, good luck and happy swimming
