Has Anyone Else Gotten Off Their Long-term Meds Like SSRI Because They Felt They Did Not Need Them Anymore Only To Crash Hard Months Later?

Yes happened to me was horrible took months to get under control

Yeah that has happened to me once or twice but it's only because of a buildup of stress and lack of a healthy outlet to process to the difficulty or a lack of available resources for assistance.

Not me. One thing I understood from the very beginning was that I would probably need some amount of medication for the rest of my life. I have gradually reduced the amount of some of my meds as I got better at coping, but I will never be totally off of them. Stopping psychiatric drugs suddenly, on your own just because you’re tired of takin them, can have disastrous consequences. Any reduction or total stopping of a med should only be done under close supervision of your Psych doctor.
