@A MyDepressionTeam Member There's no test as far as I know. You get diagnosed Bipolar by talking to a psychiatrist about your life experiences - the highs and the lows. And hopefully your talking to a psychiatrist that knows what a typical Bipolar person is like. To me it's amazing to talk to someone who is competent and he/she asks you questions about your life. Have you ever been manic? Psychotic? It's interesting I was seen by a psychiatrist 33 years ago who after an hour diagnosed me Bipolar...but I was in a hospital setting 10 years before and they misdiagnosed me. So I say competent. Hope this helps. If you have other questions let me know. Thanks.
