IMHO, and as cliched as it sounds, just ask them, be straightforward and ask. Sounds simple but really what is the worst that could happen, they say no (well in rare instances a yes can be worse, but that is another topic).And you have to make sure you like them and that it is just not a physical thing, unless that is what you want. Bottom line, communicate, they may be wondering the same thing as you. I think and know (because they stayed friends) I missed many opportunities being too shy and anxious to ask.

Thank you but I have a wonderful husband that God sent me and he has always taken care of me and been very patient with with me. My Dad warned him I was spoiled ad even begged me not to get married but my husband promised to care for me always and has. Ii ad to teach him how to save money because his family only lived paycheck to paycheck but he learned fast because my Dad told him I would save half of every dime he made and I did
As for 50 more that is very unlikely because of our health especially mine but I do pray that he outlives me because I I can’t imagine a day without him.
