Do You Follow A Specific Diet To Help With Depression?
Definitely no soda (regular or diet)
It screws up kidney and A1C, which causes adult onset diabetes.
Over the years I’ve learned to not eat a lot at one time but to eat only the size of your fist and eat slower not gulp.
Although I still have too much extra sharp cheese and dark chocolate after dinner is not good but I’m eating my feelings. I haven’t had fast food or processed food in long time now.
Another is Butter…………on much of everything tho I do mostly stay away from bread. Being active is another thing I struggle with because of DDD
and Osteoarthritis mostly in my back.
I do however walk at least a mile a day.
Rest of time reading, movies, Art, drawling, oil painting, napping and just hanging out with people. So…doing a lot better than I was 10yrs ago eating McDonalds, Burger King. I struggle to loose weight but some months I’ll loose 5-10lbs only to gain back. Hahahaha…
Laughing at stuff also helps but sometimes I’m just so dam down, I’ve learned to just go thru it. It’s part of life.
Hello all, be happy when ya can and enjoy everything life offers at least I try to also and be Kind…………….Peace
I don't drink pop (or soda, depending where you're from). Not sure if it helps, but I feel better not drinking it.
This has been a topic of conversations over the years with the Peer Support Group .. it goes from over eating when depressed to not hardly eating at all -mostly because the person has no motivation to cook.
I try to eat a diet heavy on vegetables. I have binge cooking events .. lol.
I will make large quantities of some things & freeze meals .. or cook different things for a week's worth of dinners.
Hugs, Sandra
Here is my friend Josi ..

No I either tend to eat very little or not at all
