Has Anyone Ever Used A Light Therapy Box To Help With Seasonal Affective Disorder
I have been suffering from SAD and i heard people using the light therapy box as a way to help with winter time blues. But im not sure if it really works
I take vitamin D 25,000mg daily and turn every light in house on wit daylight bulbs. It helps.
Yes, it sometimes it works. Start at 10-15 minutes. Increase according to therapist or psychiatrist. Whichever knows more and has more experience. I'm bipolar so I need to start slowly. I need to be careful increasing cause it could cause hypomania and/or mania episode. My therapist guides in how much time in a day. Also, try to use earlier in the morning.
I use one for an hour in the morning. I think it helps.
I have a box. I'm not sure I'm a good person to give advise on it cause I don't use mine like I should. I think it works if you are consistant. I know ppl that use one and it really helps them. I actually learned about it one time when I was in the hospital. They had me sit in front of it once a day for 30 mins and journal. I say try it. I don't think it could hurt.
No, I have not.
