What Happens When You Have To Stop Your Psych Med(s) Temporarily While Taking A Medication For Covid Because Of Interaction.
I hate to stop cold turkey, but it's only for 5 days.
@A MyDepressionTeam Member I have never heard of this before, even when I got my Covid shots and boosters. Who told you to stop them? Talk to your doctor and/or psychiatrist, whoever prescribed your medication before doing anything. They might just want to lower the dosage but like I said, no one has ever told me they had to stop anything. I am on a lot of different ones but took all of them.
Hugs and please checking with prescribing doctor for your safety.
The doctor at the urgent care said to maybe lower dosage or I can stop. My primary doctor just messaged me back and told me to continue my psych meds at least 24hrs after my last dose.
Vaccines and boosters are different than taking the Covid medication.
Kali this is the third or fourth week, I have lost count but I am finally on the mend and I had even coughed so hard I broke a rim and it is healing. I really didn’t know a lot of what was going on, I had strange dreams and didn’t eat for days and still can’t find anything that taste good.. But like I said I feel so much better except very weak and dizzy if I am up very long.
Hugs my friend and thanks for caring
Darcy I just go ahead and take my medications unless I am so sick last these past two weeks and I missed all my medications more than I remembered to take them. I am just glad nothing happened.
Good luck to you
Me I'm not in since covid 2 months ago. That's tough about your medication decision. I wish you well. All I want to do is sleep.
