I wouldn't use Ketamine because it is a powerful drug so I would try out antidepressants first to see which works best

If you can afford it yourself it is worth looking into. It has also helped my friend with his anxiety. If I could afford to I would try it.

Yes. I'm on Ketamine. Been on it for a couple years. It has really helped.

Ketamine has been used as an anesthetic and has hallucinogenic properties.
When I had a chest tube placed a couple years ago they gave me ketamine in the ER and the doctor was so surprised that it wasn’t relieving my pain- but a chest tube is very painful!
Research is finding that it helps with depression in people who aren’t having much success with anti-depressants.

I have a friend who has suffered from major depression since childhood and is now in his sixties. Nothing has worked for him and it has devastated his life until he got a settlement when his mom died and researched ketamine and since it was not covered he had the money to pay for treatment and he is like a brand new person. He has been getting treatments for a few months now and the change is drastic. I can't believe it and all my friends have noticed the big change in him and his demeanor. It is amazing. My medical insurance won't cover it. You basically have to have the moeny to pay for the treatment your self if you want it and can afford it, leaving it not available to the poor which is really sad because it works when all other drugs failed. If you can do it go for it. It is a new radical way of handling depression that is affecting most people in a positive way.
