How Do You Use Your Coping Skills When Every Obstacle Is Being Thrown At You?
Tackle them one at a time and I would deal with your physical pain first because once that is under control then you can start to deal with the family hassles. You physically cannot deal with the family dramas if you are in pain so that needs to be your priority at the moment.
Hi, using coping skills is to learn how to manage yourself and see the growth you have made. Keep working and outpatient hospitalization program, with a counselor, or a case manager. They have a good resources to work with you on your skills.
I always tell everyone that you've made it through past storms, you will make it through this one.
I'm learning not to get involved in his family drama. I used to call up his relatives when he asked me to yell at them, Not anymore!!!
Great question, Darcy, and wonderful answers, everyone. I've had days like this when every obstacle hits me all at once, so I *STOP* immediately, take a lot of breathing exercises (helps with the BP, too!) and, as Squib suggested, tackle each obstacle one at a time. Trying to overcome them all is impossible. One at a time works for me. Blessings!!!
