I take xarelto, Zoloft, and serequel. I was on Mobic. Doctor did want me to stop the Mobic because it would counteract with the xarelto. Dummy me didn't think about that. If that's the case I can understand. Both Doctor a need to figure out and change your psych meds if needed, but not have not take any. That's what I should have said.

I don't think it's a good idea to just stop taking any kind of psych med without weaning off them, else you're going to have awful withdrawal. Withdrawal is so bad that it can lead to worse things than worrying about blood thinners. Maybe a second opinion?

I would recommend getting a 2nd opinion regarding the anti-coagulant's.
I had a blood clot and was on Clexane injections initially and then Warfarin Tablets for a few month's - I was able to stay on the anti-depressant/sleeping tab's etc without any issues.
While it does depend on the medications you are taking - generally stopping a lot of psych med's can be unsafe and cause horrific withdrawals.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member I too had blood clots last January and am on blood thinner. No doctor has ever told me to stop my psych meds. That doctor sounds like a quack. Is there any way you can change the medical doctor. I would look into finding another. Do not under any circumstances stop your psych meds. Prayers for your health.

I can imagine your psych doctor does feel disrespected because they are medical and mental doctors and he knows what he is doing. Does no good to have good physical health if your mental health is shot and makes living miserable!
