I’m curious if people think clinical depression is completely a medical issue or to some extent demonic oppression?

I hear this at church. It is a serious illness. We are not demons. Most of us are born this way. I was. I am a good person. People that hurt us are the demons.

I concur too medical . And also what Jason and tizw said . People who never suffered from it have no idea . It’s loke anything else like if you don’t have asthma you don’t know what they’re dealing with

I believe there is a spiritual component to mental health conditions, but not causation. There is little biblical foundation for conflating the two. (In my humble opinion).
