What Are Some Things You May Do To Keep You Out Of The Darkness At Times Of Depression?

I know on my end, I have good and bad days. However, even the good days have dark avenues to them. I just believe that that 1 person who shares may help 1 more person. It's very frightening at times.

I get of the house, and do something. Even if it is just to get a walk in, it seems to help. Another thing that I do is art. Art keeps me from away from the negative thoughts that I tend to have. Reading a good book or watching a good movie would do the same thing.

I find a way to use the darkness for creative and artistic motivation. For me, it's writing poems and songs. Most of my poems are simply lyrics for songs I have yet to write music for. My darkness always, eventually, turns to light so I just hold on to hope. For me, hope is a choice.

I scroll through this website several times a day. I have to say, it does calm me down.

The first thing I try is to listen to and sing my favorite songs. If that doesn't work I go for a walk and think about everything I have been blessed with.
